Shincell New Material CO.,LTD.

Suzhou Shincell New Material Co., Ltd is a China lightweight polymer foams manufacturer and thermoplastic TPU material factory, we offer wholesale foam sheets and mats for sale online. We use N2 and CO2 gases commonly found in the air to expand plastics and form a large number of micro and nano bubbles inside, a purely physical foaming process.
Shincell was founded by Dr. Xiulei Jiang. He started his research on supercritical fluid foaming technology at East China University of Science and Technology in 2003 and proposed the technical process of supercritical molded microcellular foaming. His early interest lies in Mat, and his main product is PP microcellular foam sheets. Inspired by the Adidas boost midsole derived from TPU beads foaming, he started to study the sheet foaming technology of Mat in 2015. Based on these years of basic research, Shincell has formed two series of products: soft high-elasticity lightweight materials and hard high-strength lightweight materials.Soft high elasticity products include TPU, TPEE and PEBA, PEBAX, etc., and hard high strength products include PP, PVDF, PPO, PA, etc.
Our foam materials are all thermoplastic and no chemical blowing agents are added in the foaming process, nor are they chemically cross-linked. Compared to traditional foaming materials, our foam materials are recyclable, non-toxic and environmentally friendly, and meet the needs of sustainable development!

Midsole, Core of a Pair of Sports Shoes
2023-03-22
The midsole, that is, the layer between the shoe body and the outsole acts as an important part for cushioning and adjusting the feeling of wearing. Different shoe types have different midsole technologies, and sure the wearing feeling is very different. In this article, the major midsole technologies currently on the market are introduced. ² Materials  There are basically three main midsole materials in the current shoe market, namely EVA, PU and Peba (#Pebax, which is 44% bio-based, is a registered trademark of Arkema, Pebax and peba are both nylon material). The dazzling midsole technology we see on the market is basically using these three materials. And the overall performance is Peba>PU>EVA. Ordinary shoes generally use EVA midsoles. PU midsoles are used on a more advanced shoe-type. The top ones and the same time the most expensive ones are Peba midsoles, which are normally only used on flagship shoes or on running shoes of high demand on cushioning performance and energy return. The energy return rate of EVA is around 30% to 40%, the PU is around 60% to 70%, while the Peba’s is generally over 80% (Peba has the best overall performance, but its lifespan is not that long, and it will decay after a long time use).  Shoe types of EVA midsome: Nike Cushion, Nike React, Li-Ning Lightfoam, Adidas Bounce, and etc.. Shoe types of PU: Adidas Boost, Anta Flashfoam, Li-Ning Drivefoam, Reebok Floatride, Puma Ignite, Nrgy, Hybrid (a mixture of ignite and nrgy), and etc.. Shoe types of Peba: Nike Zoomx, Anta N2 Technology, Li-Ning 䨻Technology and etc.. ² The Function of the Midsole In addition to midsoles’ core cushioning function, one also needs to take its rebound and support into account. When buying shoes, one needs to pay attention to shoes’ midsole in order to have one that suits best. In my opinion, ones who are new to run or are overweight shall pay more attention to support. Good support and stability can help you adjust your running posture and protect you from injury. For advanced runners, I personally recommend shoes with high energy rebound. High rebound can bring better performance, allowing you to change direction quickly and respond more quickly and easily. There is also the other way out, the top running shoes are using sandwich type to get both the support and the high energy rebound.   That is, one layer of support(best carbon fiber) between upper and lower 2 layers of midsole. ² Comparison of various midsoles  Ordinary EVA: the cushioning and rebound level are moderate; normally there is no support, but the performance is better than the midsole of sneakers. It is suitable for most sports occasions and is sufficient for the midsole of general sports shoes.  Adidas Bounce: an improved version of EVA, the performance is better than that of ordinary ones. It is more comfortable. The level is above average.  Anta Flashfoam: it has a good wearing feeling, a little soft while not too much, and the energy return and cushioning are good.  Nike React: the resilience is high, but the energy return is not as good as the PU materials such as Boost and Flashfoam. It loses energy when running. Moreover, the deformation, the support and cushioning are even worse than EVA. Some may feel feet pain when wearing it. The biggest feature is the rebound, which are not recommended for beginners.  Puma Hybrid: good support performance, good energy feedback, average wearing feel, not too soft (just a little softer than sneakers), more suitable for jogging. The support is really good, not tiring while long standing, and the gait is relatively stable when running.  Adidas 4D: personnally, I think it is the strongest midsole technology so far. The support of this midsole is surprisingly good, and it is very comfortable to wear. It brings both comfort and good energy feedback when walking or running. Unlike Puma's hybrid, which is a relatively hard support, 4D is a soft support, and you will feel that the force on your feet is even and comfortable.  Suzhou #Shincell New Material Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise that specializes in providing sustainable technology and material solutions for high-elastic midsoles. Its #TPU, #TPEE, #PEBA, #PEBAX foam sheets are widely used in shoe midsoles and insoles. Supply to domestic and foreign sports shoes leading enterprises, such as Anta, Li Ning, Puma, Adidas, Hoka and so on.
Speech by Dr. Xiulei Jiang, the Founder and CEO of Shincell New Material
2023-03-16
Who are we? Where do we come from?  A new material company, Shincell, that develops original technologies, owns foaming process of multi-techniques, multi-products. The founder, me here, is the inventor of supercritical foaming technology and the inventor of anhydrous beads foaming technology. The team has a profound understanding of the basic theory of polymer semi-solid foaming, and has over 10 years of experience in process control and processing equipment.  The technical route we have mastered now: sheet foaming/bead foaming/3D foaming/semi-continuous sheet technology. Strategy and Opportunity  Making a product is the same as being a person-it is perfect to be born at the right time and make a big difference.  Our technology conforms to the trend of the times and has lasting vitality. Clean manufacturing, odorless and environmentally friendly, and recycling are the general trend of the times and are irreversible.  Lightweight technology, reducing material consumption and product weight, is one of the effective technical paths to achieve the double carbon goals. Transportation (aerospace, rail transit, automobiles, ships), high-frequency and high-speed communication, CMP polishing, shoe soles, high-end packaging protection, lightweight materials using in these fields have clear functional and technical requirements.  EV batteries are a once-in-a-century wave for using #FRMPP as buffer. Physical foaming(#SCF) has set off a technological revolution in shoe sole materials.  Our positioning How to solve the contradiction between strategic focus and diversification? Single technology, single product- focusing on one technology developing, and deep digging of single market.  V.S. Multiple foaming technology routes, multiple product lines, which means excellent risk resistance. But each technology cannot be deeply developed, and one market cannot be deeply cultivated.  Focus on the application and promotion of existing products, or the development of new products?  The essence of these two problems is the problem of resources and manpower. As long as resources and manpower are sufficient, it is not a problem at all. We can spread out and work in an all-round way in this case. But for start-up companies with limited resources and manpower, this is a question of choice, a vital one.  Our product characteristics 1.All consumer products and general industrial products are #thermoplastic, #non-cross-linked, and #recyclable. 2.Various foamed polymer materials-multi product routes, MTPU/MTPEE/MPEBA/MPP/PVDF and so one. 3.Lightweight foam materials can be 100% recyclable. 4.The products are still ‘young’ and energetic. Our technical characteristics  1.Clean foaming technology  2.With high cell density, cells with micron-sized bubble structure, excellent material properties 3.Both of the technologies and products are still in the early stages of their life cycle.  4.Sheet foaming/bead foaming/3D foaming/semi-continuous sheet technology-multi-technical routes Prominent problems of intermittent sheet foaming: high labor cost and inevitable fixed loss. Where we will be in 5 years(2023-2027)? Goal of achievements in 2027, the percentage of market share, 50% for shoe sole industry 25% for automotive industry 10% for Yoga mats and sports peripheral consumer goods  10% for aviation/military industry/GMP pipeline insulation 5% for medical/food/clean packaging  How to do it? 1.Continue to invest in R&D and innovation.  2.Integrate resources at hand. Do what we are best at, what others cannot do. Involve more talented people and to make sure they can serve the company in a flexible manner.  3.With the help of capital, seizing the time to achieve scale expansion.  4.Detailed planning on product markets. Difficulties and challenges:  1.Technical reserve and talent reserve for continuous technological innovation.  2.Team cohesion, making sure each one of us at the right position and do what they are best at. 3.As a newly released material, the expansion of its application market is no less difficult than the technical development of the material itself.  For different application markets, the time varies for large-scale use of new products. A period of 5 to 10 years is a common phenomenon. We need to find ways to break this law. To quickly introduce new product to its suitable market. 4.One new product or technology has around 3 years leading and exclusive period. After 3 years, there sure will emerge competitors. We shall take full advantage of this period to realize the rapid expansion of scale and perfecting our products and technology. Objectively speaking, it is good to have competitors. At one hand, new products promotion needs more manpower. On the other hand, it will sure make us better selves and win in competition. 5.The next 5 year plan. Summary 1.People are the core of a company, they are as important as new product promotion and technology innovation. 2.Clear marketing strategy and tactics are vital.

How to Choose the Material of The Mat?
Choosing the right material for a mat depends on several factors, including:
1、Application: Consider the intended use of the mat, such as indoor or outdoor, residential or commercial, and high or low traffic. This will help narrow down the materials that are suitable for the specific application.
2、Durability: Choose a material that is durable and can withstand the anticipated wear and tear of the application. For example, high-traffic areas may require a more durable material than low-traffic areas.
3、Cleaning and maintenance: Consider the cleaning and maintenance requirements of the material. Some materials, such as natural fibers, may require more maintenance than synthetic materials.
4、Comfort: Choose a material that provides adequate cushioning and support, especially in areas where people stand for long periods. Materials like rubber and foam provide good cushioning and support.
5、Safety: Consider the slip-resistance and fire-retardant properties of the material. Some materials, such as rubber, have high slip-resistance and are fire-retardant, making them suitable for areas that require a high level of safety.
6、Aesthetics: Choose a material that complements the aesthetic of the surrounding environment. For example, natural fibers like sisal and jute are suitable for a more rustic or traditional decor, while synthetic materials like nylon and polyester are suitable for a more modern or contemporary decor.
In summary, selecting the right material for a mat involves considering the application, durability, cleaning and maintenance, comfort, safety, and aesthetics. It is also essential to ensure that the material meets any regulatory or safety requirements for the specific application.
